Desert Rose


A classic caudiciform with a succulent habit. Easy to grow potted plant that forms a fat swollen trunk and produces several prominent bell shaped pink flowers all year long. Perfect for water conserving gardens as it is drought resistant. Can be a houseplant if grown by a window, but prefers to be outdoors in full to partial sun. Avoid freezing temperatures. Leaves do drop in the winter time and sprout back in the spring time. Original Desert roses (Adenium obesum) have pink flowers. You now can see many different hybrids and clones. A lot of them are also grafted and have really cool colors.
