An unusual rare tropical plant. This plant has many common names: Cerra Cipapau Apple, Pitch Apple, Porcelain Flower, Copey, and Balsam Apple. This Brazilian and Venezuelan native shrub grows well in full to partial sun. It blooms most of the year and doesn't have to be very big to start blooming. The flowers are interesting looking, white waxy petals with red throats that don't even look real. The fruit that this shrub produces is also very cute and interesting looking. They resemble little watermelons. The leaves are green, leathery, and lanceolate. This plant is salt tolerant. This plant is very rarely offered for sale.
