EPIPHYLLUM OXYPETALUM
Night Blooming Cactus
An easy to grow and bloom cactus that gets really big,
pure white, fragrant flowers. The flowers appear in the
summer time and they open up at night and are closed back
up before sunrise and they only last for one night. Fortunately,
they appear in succession. The flowers are dinner plate
size, white and have a distinct fragrance. The Night Blooming
Cactus needs bright shade conditions, drier winters and
moist summers. Fertilization is also average, less during
the colder months and more during the warmer months. Freezing
temperatures should be avoided. The plant does not have
to be big to bloom. A 10" - 14" pot with a trellis
should be enough to make the plant happy and see flowers.
