HOYA CURTISII
This hoya is a slow grower in the beginning, but when it takes off it
gets to be a very full and healthy looking plant. The greenish purple
leaves are very pretty and I know you would enjoy this as a hanging
foliage plant. The leaves are also small, round w/ a point on the end,
and are heavily flecked. The flowers are also pretty special and
distinct from the others although I would not expect too many flowers on
this species. The fuzzy corollas are yellowish-green and corona is off
white with red/pink center. The flowers also smell really nice. This
Hoya is native to The Philippines, Malaysia, and Thailand. I do not
recommend this hoya for the beginner just starting their Hoya
collection, although it is easier to grow than many believe and grows
well once it is established.
H. curtisii likes filtered light and to be kept a little on the dry side. Water it once a week in the winter and twice a week in the summer. Protect from temperatures in the mid 50's F and colder.
