HOYA PENTAPHLEBIA
This Hoya is native to Malaysia and The Philippines. It has beautiful
big, green leaves. Some leaves have a bronze color to them. The more
light you give it, the more bronze the leaves will be. In the winter
time, almost all the leaves will get this bronze color, but make sure
that you protect this hoya from cool temperatures. The flowers are
yellow/green with white coronas, super pretty and unusual! The flowers
have a pleasant citrus fragrance. This hoya grows pretty fast and did
not take a long time to bloom. It would look great in a hanging basket
in your shaded (but bright) patio.
We grow our hoyas outdoors in filtered light. Hoyas are known for being good indoor plants as well. Most hoyas like to be kept a little on the dry side. Give the hoyas with thin leaves more water. Hoyas like to grow in small pots with a trellis or hanging baskets. Fertilization is average. Hoyas need to be protected from cold temperatures.
