The Asoka Tree is also known as Mast Tree, Ashoka, False Ashoka, The Buddha Tree, and Indian Fir Tree. This is one of the trees on the grounds of the Taj Mahal (India).

It is a tropical, lofty, narrow, odd looking, evergreen tree that grows straight up vertically. We ourselves refer to them as telephone poles! This tree is commonly planted due to its effectiveness in alleviating noise pollution, according to Wikipedia.
